This ringtone editor is the only app that provides fading in/out effects.

The app for creating ringtones, alarms and notifications from MP3, WAV, AAC/MP4, 3GPP/AMR files downloaded to your phone from a memory card or purchased from the Amazon MP3 store. Unlike many Android apps that use the menu keys to store certain software features, most Ringtone Maker controls are conveniently located on the interface and are touch-sensitive. You can set start and end marks by moving the arrows along the time scale, tapping "start" and "end" or entering time intervals.

Ringtone Maker is the best tool available for creating ringtones, an improved version of Ringdroid, with features such as fading in/fading out of MP3, volume control, sending via email. In the latest version you can also copy, cut and paste fragments of music.
